About ES1888 Driver:
This is a Sound driver for the ESS 1888 AudioDrive Chip in our DEC Personal Workstation 200i (thanks SDO and whoever I bought it from). We did not test it on any other machines. Currently it will not play antything other than 44.1kHz 16 bit stereo sound. Recording has not been implemented. Midi has not been implemented.
This code has been based off of joe's sound.h (as are many other drivers) from the former Be, Inc.
We do not plan on implementing any MIDI or Recording at this time.
