Make sure you've got Duke Nukem 3D (Shareware, full version or Atomic Edition).

You'll need some way to install the game. The Shareware version can be installed within DOSBox ( http://www.bebits.com/app/3007 ), maybe it's working with other versions, too ...

Once you have the game installed, and run setup.exe under DOS to generate a duke3d.cfg file. Select
any sound card for music and FX playback (we use this as a on/off switch for audio).
Copy the installed game dir to your BeOS system.

Copy "duke3d" binary and "lib" dir to the game dir.

There are some .con files in the "testdata" dir. Copy them to the game dir, CAPITALIZED, so they overwrite the ones that came with the original game.

To get music you need the TiMidity Instrument patch which you can download here:
http://bepdf.sourceforge.net/download/midi/eawpats11_full_beos.zip
or here:
http://www.goice.co.jp/member/mo/timidity/link.html

Put the timidity.cfg in the game dir and check if the path to instruments files is correct.

Run the game, be happy.
